Soğdluların Orta ve İç Asya’daki diğer halklarla olan ilişkileri gibi I. ve II. Türk kağanlıkları ile Uygur Kağanlığı’yla da ilişkilerinin olduğu bilinmektedir. Uygur Kağanlığı’nın ilk dönem yazıtlarından olan ve daha çok II. Türk Kağanlığı’nın yıkılışı ve İç Asya bozkırlarında egemenlik elde etme mücadelelerini anlatan Tes, Tariat ve Şine Usu yazıtlarında, doğrudan Manihaizm ile ilgili kayıt bulunmamaktadır. Ancak Tariat ve Şine Usu yazıtlarında Soğdluların adı geçmekte ve bu halkın Uygurlar üzerinde etkisi olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu makalede, I. ve II. Türk kağanlıklarında Soğdluların etkisine değinildikten sonra Uygur Kağanlığı yazıtlarından Tariat ve Şine Usu’da Soğdluların adının geçtiği yerler değerlendirilmiştir. An Lushan ??? isyanıyla başlayan Uygur–Tang yakınlaşması ve dolaylı da olsa, bu isyan sonucunda, Manihaizmin Uygurları etkilemeye başlaması üzerinde de durulmuştur. Makalede değinilen bir diğer konu ise Şine Usu Yazıtı’nda geçen Baybalık kentinin yapılış amacıdır.
