Bu araştırmanın amacı Türk çocuk edebiyatının tanınmış yazarlarından Nur İçözü’nün çocuk kitaplarında yer alan kişilerarası çatışmalar ve çatışma çözme süreçlerinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda incelenen çocuk kitaplarındaki kişilerarası çatışmalar ve bu çatışmaların nedenleri; çatışma çözme yaklaşımları ve çatışmaların nasıl sonuçlandığı sorularına yanıt aranmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yazarın ortaokul düzeyindeki çocuklara yönelik oluşturduğu on çocuk kitabı araştırmanın çalışma grubunu oluşturmuştur. Araştırma kapsamına alınan kitaplar düzeye uygun olup olmadıkları bağlamında iç yapı ve dış yapı özelliklerine göre değerlendirilmiştir. Doküman incelemesi yoluyla elde edilen veriler içerik analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir. Çatışma nedenleri (kıt kaynaklar, karşılanmayan psikolojik gereksinimler ve farklı değerler); çatışma çözme biçimleri (güç kullanma, geri çekilme, uyma, uzlaşma ve işbirliği) ve çatışma çözme sonuçları (kazan-kazan; kazan-kaybet ve kaybet-kaybet) ile ilgili kategoriler oluşturulurken alanyazındaki araştırmalardan yararlanılmıştır. Bu kategorilere uymayan durumlar ‘diğer’ başlığı altında değerlendirilmiştir. Kitaplardan alınan doğrudan alıntılar ilgili kategorilerin altında verilmiştir. İncelenen tüm kitaplarda toplam 140 kişilerarası çatışma yaşandığı belirlenmiştir. Bu çatışmaların % 44,28’i ‘Karşılanmayan Psikolojik Gereksinimler’ bağlamında gerçekleşmiştir. Yaşanan çatışmaların çözümünde en fazla güç kullanma ( %29,28) çatışma biçimi kullanılırken çatışmaların %41,4’ü kazan-kazan ile sonuçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda yazarın kitaplarında kullandığı çatışma nedenlerinin seslenilen yaş grubuna uygun olduğu ve yazarın çatışma çözme sürecinde farklı çatışma çözme yaklaşımlarını çocuk okurla paylaştığı sonucuna varılmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to study the processes of interpersonal conflicts and conflict resolution included in the children's books of the renowned writers of Turkish children's literature Nur İçözü. Interpersonal conflicts in children’s books studied for this purpose and the causes of these conflicts, the approaches to conflict resolution and the results of conflicts are asked for answers. The research method has been used. The author’s ten children’s books designed for children at high school level formed a study group. The books taken into the scope of the research were assessed according to the characteristics of the internal and external structure in the context of whether they are appropriate to the level. The data obtained through the document review was evaluated by content analysis. The research in the field has been used to create categories related to the causes of conflict (reverse sources, untold psychological needs and different values); the forms of conflict resolution (use of power, withdrawal, consensus, consensus and cooperation) and the results of conflict resolution (win-winning; win-lose and loss-lose). The circumstances that do not match these categories are assessed under the 'other' title. Quotes from the books are given under the relevant categories. In all the books examined, a total of 140 conflicts occurred. 44.28% of these conflicts occurred in the context of ‘Untold Psychological Requirements’. For the resolution of conflicts, the use of the maximum force (29.28%) was used, while 41.4% of the conflicts resulted in win-win. The study ended with the conclusion that the reason for the conflict the author used in his books was in accordance with the addressed age group and that the author shared different approaches to conflict resolution with the child reader during the conflict resolution process.
The aim of this study is to analyze interpersonal conflicts and conflict resolution processes in the Turkish children’s books by Nur İçözü, an reputed author of children's literature. The answers were sought to the questions; reasons of interpersonal conflicts; conflict resolution approaches, and how conflicts resulted in the childeren’s books analyzed for this purpose. Qualitative research method was used in the research. The author’s ten children’s books for secondary school children constituted the study group of the research. The books included in the study were evaluated according to their internal and external structure in terms of whether they are suitable for the level or not. The data obtained through document review was evaluated by content analysis. While creating the categories for the causes of conflict (scarce resources, ignored psychological needs and different values); conflict resolution styles (use of force, avoidance, accommodation, compromise, and collaboration) and conflict resolution results (win-win, win-lose and lose-lose), the researches in the literature about this subject were used. The cases, which did not fit into these categories, were evaluated under the heading ‘other’. Direct citations from the books were given under the relevant categories. A total of 140 interpersonal conflicts were identified in all the books examined. 44.28% of these conflicts occurred in the context of ‘Unmet Psychological Needs’. While the most common conflict resolution style was use of force (29.28%), 41.4% of the conflicts resulted in win-win. At the end of the research, it was concluded that the reasons for conflict that the author used in her books were appropriate to the age group addressed, and that the author shared different conflict resolution approaches with the child reader in the conflict resolution process.
