Abstract:

News, which is part of the lives of people, is content that transmits information about the events that occur, and has the nature of reporting them. There are some principles that they need to host in order to qualify these content as news. These principles are known as the principles of accuracy, reality, objectivity/subjectivity, meaningfulness, accuracy, speed, consistency and credibility. In this study, it focuses on the principle of objectivity from the principles that the news must host. The universe is made by the political parties in Turkey and the Turkish written press, and the example of this work is made by Hürriyet, Sabah and Sözcü newspapers. 31 March 2019 Local elections in the written press, the principle of objectivity was taken into account or not, the Sabah, Hürriyet and Sözcü newspapers tried to reveal with the analysis of the news they published to the parties and allies involved in the election. The results of the analysis show that the approach of the newspapers to the party in the election news is largely neutral, but the style and style of the news is more critical, guilty and commented in the news. In this case, it can be said that in the news presentations of the newspapers, the balance, the incomprehensible communications and the equal space/equal time elements that objective communications should accommodate are generally neglected.
