Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin kış sporlarına yönelik farkındalık düzeylerini belirlemeye yönelik bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Araştırmaya Kastamonu İl merkezinde eğitim hizmeti veren ortaöğretim okullarına devam eden 400 öğrenci katılmıştır. Ölçme aracının geçerliliğine yönelik kapsam geçerliğine ve yapı geçerliğine bakılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde KMO ve Barlett Sphericity Testi, Madde-Toplam Test Korelasyonu ile doğrulayıcı faktör analizi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda ölçeğin 35 madde ve bilişsel, duyuşsal ve psikomotor alan olmak üzere üç faktörlü bir yapıya sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların kış sporlarına yönelik farkındalık düzeyleri 5’li Likert tipi ölçek üzerinden değerlendirilmektedir. Maddelerin yük değerleri .484 ile .850 arasında değişmektedir. Üç faktörde açıklanan toplam varyans değeri %48,739 olarak belirlenmiştir. Ölçeğin güvenirlik seviyesini test etmek için Cronbach Alpha iç tutarlık katsayısı üç alt boyut ve toplam ölçek için hesaplanmış değerler bilişsel boyutta .887, duyuşsal boyutta .927, psikomotor boyutta .787 ve tamamı için .908 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak Kış Sporları Farkındalık Düzeyi Ölçeğinin (KSFÖ) ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin kış sporlarına yönelik farkındalık düzeylerini ölçmek amacıyla kullanılabilir olduğu söylenebilir.
The aim of this study is to develop a measurement tool to determine the levels of awareness of high school students for winter sports. The research was attended by 400 students continuing to provide high school services in the Kastamonu Provincial Centre. In the analysis of data, KMO and Barlett Sphericity Test were used to verify the factor analysis with the substance-total test correlation. The analysis found that the scale had 35 substances and a three-factor structure: the cognitive, sensory and psychomotor fields. The participants’ awareness levels for winter sports are assessed by a Likert type scale of 5. The load value of the materials is .484. It varies between 850. The total variance value described in the three factors is 48,739%. To test the level of reliability of the scale, the Cronbach Alpha internal consistency ratio was calculated for three sub-dimensions and total scale; values were found as .887 in cognitive size, .927, .787 in psychomotor size and .908 for the whole. As a result, it can be said that the Winter Sports Awareness Level Measurement (KSFÖ) can be used to measure the level of awareness of high school students for winter sports.
The aim of this study is to develop a measurement tool to determine awareness levels of secondary school students about winter sports. 400 students attending the secondary schools providing educational services in the city center of Kastamonu province participated in the study. The validity of the tool were examined in respect to content and construct validity. The data obtained were analyzed by using Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) and Barlett Sphericity Test, Item-Total Test Correlation and factor analysis. The analysis results showed that this 35-item scale had a three-factor structure; cognitive, emotional and psychomotor. Awareness levels of the participants for winter sports were evaluated by using a 5-point Likert scale. The factor loads of the items ranged between .484 and .850. The variance value explained in three factors was calculated as 48,739%. In order to test the reliability of the scale, Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient was calculated for 3 subscales and for the overall scale. Accordingly, the following values were found: .887 for cognitive dimension, .927 for emotional dimension, .787 for psychomotor dimension and .908 for the overall scale. In conclusion, it might be said that Winter Sports Awareness Scale (WSAS) can be used to measure awareness levels of secondary school students about winter sports.
