Bu çalışma, Batman’daki okul öncesi kurumlarda görev yapan okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin bakış açısıyla oyun temelli eğitimi değerlendirmeyi amaçlayan derinlemesine görüşmenin bulgularını sunmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada Batman’daki okul öncesi kurumlarda görev yapan 15 okul öncesi öğretmeni ile yüz yüze görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşmelerde araştırmacılar tarafından literatür bulgularına dayalı olarak hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular MAXQDA programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda çocukların ağırlıklı olarak tablet gibi dijital materyalleri tercih ettikleri, oyun temelli eğitimin çocuklarda sosyalleşme, eleştirel düşünme, özgüven, yaratıcılık ve problem çözme becerisi açısından önemli faydaları olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin oyun temelli eğitimde oyunların herkes uygun olmaması, sürenin kısıtlı olması ve oyun temelli eğitimde yeni tekniklerin geliştirilmesinin zorluğu alanlarında zorluklarla karşılaştıkları görülmüştür.
This study provides the findings of a deep discussion aimed at evaluating game-based education from the perspective of the pre-school teachers who work in the pre-school institutions in Batman. In this direction, the study conducted face-to-face interviews with 15 pre-school teachers working in the pre-school institutions in Batman. Interviews used a semi-configured interview form prepared by researchers on the basis of literary findings. The findings were analyzed using the MAXQDA program. At the end of the study, the children preferred mainly digital materials such as tablets, and found that play-based education has significant benefits in terms of socialization, critical thinking, self-confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills in children. In addition, teachers have seen difficulties in the fields where the games are not all suitable in the game-based training, the time is limited, and the difficulties in the development of new techniques in the game-based training.
This study presents the findings of the in-depth interview aiming to evaluate game-based education from the perspective of preschool teachers working in pre-school institutions in Batman. In this direction, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 15 preschool teachers working in pre-school institutions in Batman. In the interviews, a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researchers based on the literature findings was used. The findings were analyzed using the MAXQDA program. At the end of the study, it was determined that children mostly prefer digital materials such as tablets, and that game-based education has significant benefits in terms of socialization, critical thinking, self-confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills in children. In addition, it was observed that teachers faced difficulties in the areas of games being not suitable for everyone, limited time in game-based education, and the difficulty of developing new techniques in game-based education.
