2. Balkans and Middle East Countries International Conference on Auditing and Accounting History was held in Istanbul between September 15-18, 2010 with the considerable assistance and support of the Trakya University. Total number of participants was 464. 37 of them were country representatives and total number of foreign participants was 144. Total number of the submitted papers was 185, and 80 of them were from foreign countries. MUFAD (AAFA) established three international activities in the recent years. First of them was the Balkan Countries Accounting and Auditing Conference (1.BMAC) held in Edirne in 2007. The second one was the 12. World Congresses of Accounting Historians held in Istanbul in 2008. This was the third one. Throughout these conferences Mufad (AAFA) cooperated with many corporations and academicians of the western countries, Balkans and the Middle East countries. The interest of the Balkan countries on these conferences is in a decline. On the other hand, it is observed that the interest of the Middle East countries is in an increase. We see another increase from the Central Asia countries as well. Turkish faculty members have participated and supported these international activities in a great extent
