The aim of this study is to examine, according to certain variables, the attitudes of secondary school students towards visual arts classes. The study is a descriptive study and is a screening model. The population of the survey consists of students at secondary schools in a province in Southeastern Anatolia. The sample consists of 412 students from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes at the secondary schools. Participants were determined by using convenience sampling as one of the non-random sampling techniques. "Attitude Scale Toward Visual Arts Class” developed by Aslantaş (2012) was used. Descriptive statistics, t-test as one of the parametric tests and single direction variance analysis were used. As a conclusion of the survey, a significant difference was found in the attitudes of secondary school students towards visual arts classes from the perspective of their gender. In the survey, a significant difference was found in favor of the female students. In the survey, a significant difference was found in their attitudes towards visual arts classes from the perspective their class levels and their fathers’ education levels. The survey could not find a significant difference between their attitude towards visual arts classes and their socio-economic levels as well as the education levels of their mother.
