This work is based on Peter L. Berger and Thomas, who are based on the idea that the weight of being an individual with disabilities is the social product of all the qualities, meanings, and physical limitations that are attributed to the idea that the body is shaped by society, the body is shaped by society, from the perspective of Luckmann's Social Constructivist Approach. In the study, 13 males and 13 females physically handicapped participants living in Izmir province and affiliated to the disability associations of İzmir central provinces were interviewed in depth. The findings of the field research, the themes and sub-themes created after the interviews were categorized and described with descriptive analysis technique and interpreted. As a result of this study, the weight of being disabled individuals in the family is interpreted on the basis of the concepts of 'language' and 'meaningful others' in the relations between family members by referring to the social outside of the disability itself.
