Özet:

The purpose of this research is to determine the values in Mustafa Kutlu's stories in the year 2000 and before and to determine how these values can be used in Turkish language teaching. In the research, document review, one of the qualitative research methods was used. "Descriptive analysis" was used in the analysis of the values that were indexed at the end of the document review.                     8 story books published between 1979-2000 were examined using Turkish Value Form (TDF) consisting of 40 values ​​prepared in the direction of 4 expert opinions and then taken from the stories after the existing values ​​were determined. In the analysis of the data, the values ​​determined by the scanning method were classified, handled under separate titles, and frequencies were given in the tables. In the tables prepared separately for each value, page numbers of the works on which the values ​​are processed, the titles of the works, the frequency of the processing are given.                     As a result of the research, it is suggested that 33 values ​​(fairness, respect for family, friendship, peace, scientificness, courage, generosity, diligence, giving importance to the environment, solidarity, religious values, sensitivity, honesty, decency, aesthetics, sacrifice, respect, persistence, love, responsibility, cleanliness, patriotism, benevolence) were determined to be processed in different frequencies.                     As a result of the obtained data, 373 messages related to values were detected in the stories of Mustafa Kutlu. The highest value among 373 values is "religious value" with a usage frequency of 50 (13,40%). "Aesthetic" followed religious value with 31 (8.31%) usage frequency; and aesthetic value was followed by "love value" with a usage frequency of 30 (8,04%). As a result of the studies and the results done on the field, it was determined that Mustafa Kutlu's stories can be used in value education.
