İSTİSMARCI YÖNETİM DAVRANIŞININ İŞTEN AYRILMA NİYETİNE ETKİSİ: HASTANE ÇALIŞANLARINA YÖNELİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract:

Günümüz çalışma hayatında önemli bir değer haline gelen çalışanların örgütteki tutum ve davranışları birçok faktörden etkilenebilmektedir. Bu faktörlerden biri de yöneticilerin çalışanlara karşı sergilemiş oldukları tutum ve davranışlardır. Bu çalışma ile çalışanların istismarcı yönetim davranışına ilişkin algıları ile işten ayrılma niyetleri arasındaki ilişkinin özel hastaneler açısından belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, Haziran 2019 - Temmuz 2019 aylarında İstanbul’da gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri İstanbul’da faaliyet gösteren özel hastanelerde çalışan bireylerden anket yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucunda katılımcıların istismarcı yönetim davranışı algısının düşük, işten ayrılma niyetinin ise orta düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca istismarcı yönetim davranışı ile işten ayrılma niyeti arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı, pozitif yönlü ve orta düzeyde bir ilişkinin olduğu ve istismarcı yönetim davranışının işten ayrılma niyetini pozitif yönde etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları çerçevesinde, hastane yöneticilerine istismarcı yönetim davranışının önlenmesine yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The impact of the management behavior on the intention of discharge: a direct investigation to the hospitals

Abstract:

The attitudes and behaviors of employees who have become an important value in today’s work life in the organization can be influenced by many factors. One of these factors is the attitudes and behaviors that managers show against employees. This study is aimed at determining the relationship between the perceptions of employees about the abuse management behavior and the intentions to leave the job from the perspective of private hospitals. The research was conducted in Istanbul in June 2019 - July 2019. The research data was collected using the survey method from individuals working in private hospitals operating in Istanbul. The statistical analysis found that the participant’s perception of abuse management behavior was low, and the intention of leaving the job was medium. It is also established that there is a statistically meaningful, positive and medium-level relationship between the abuse management behavior and the intention to leave the job, and that the abuse management behavior affects the intention to leave the job in a positive direction. In the framework of the research results, recommendations were given to hospital managers to prevent abuse management behavior.

The attitude and behavior of the employees who has become an important value of the current working life, might be affected from many facts. One of these facts is the attitude and behavior of the supervisors towards the employees. In this study, it is aimed to determine the relation between the perceptions of the employees regarding the abusive supervision and their intention to quit the job with regards to the private hospitals. This study was performed between June 2019 – July 2019 in Istanbul. The research data was collected from the employees of the private hospitals in Istanbul through the questionnaire method. As a result of the statistical analysis, it was determined that the perception of the participants towards the abusive supervision behavior is low, and their intention to quit the job is at intermediate level. Furthermore, it was determined that there is a statistically significant, positive and intermediate level relation between the abusive supervision and intention to quit the job, and abusive supervision behavior affects the intention to quit the job in a positive direction. Within the scope of the research results, the supervisors of the hospitals were advised towards avoiding the abusive supervision behaviors.
