Aim: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of organizational cynicism on burnout on health workers. Method: The universe of the research is composed of employees of Seydişehir State Hospital in Konya. The Organizational Cynicism Scale and the Maslach Burnout Scale developed by Brandes et al. Were used to collect data related to the research. Both scales were rated on the 5-point Likert type. The Cronbach Alpha coefficient of the Organizational Cynicism Scale was 0.887 and the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of the Maslach Burnout Scale was 0.768. After obtaining the necessary permissions for the research, the scales were applied on a face to face basis and on a voluntary basis. Data compiled for the purpose of the study were analyzed using the SPSS (16.0) program and appropriate test methods. Findings:As a result of the study, participants were found to be below the midpoint of 3, with cynicism (2,6366 ± 0,77) and burnout (2,9588 ± 0,48) being moderate. In the analysis of the correlation, there was a positive and significant relationship between organizational cynicism and burnout (r = 0,505 p <0,01). According to the results of regression analysis; Cognitive (B = 0,480, p <0,05), sensory "(B = 0,374 p <0,05) and" behavioral (B = 0,296 p < Emotional exhaustion dimension; behavioral (B = 0.233, p <0.05) also affects the desensitization extent of the burnout. Conclusion:As a result of the research, it has been determined that organizational cynicism has an effect on the burnout degree of hospital employees. The results of this research are evaluated as important in terms of determining the level of cynicism and burnout of the employees, increasing the working efficiency and helping to contribute to the search for solutions for the establishment of institutional belonging.
