Abstract:

This article/thesis particularly investigates one of the most important events of the history of Middle East, the civil war at the bottom watercourse of Amuderya.  Indeed, this article/thesis is considered to be one of the important works written on this subject in Turkmenistan. This article comprises the reasons of the revolts, the problems that the revolt resulted in and the explanation of the social situation in the different areas of Turkmenistan in the period of the Russian Empire ruling. The main purpose of the article is to illuminate the causes of the counter-revolution within the main ideological frame of the political ideology. It attempts to enlighten the actions of the Russian Empire and the actions of the local Khan, especially the Cuneyt Khan, from the Communist viewpoint of the time. At the same time, my work is assessed on the basis of written documents in the Turkmenistan handwriting fund. At the end of the work, the chronology of the counter-revolution that emerged between 1918 and 1919 is given. S. Narmedov is a communist scientist working on the history, struggle and survival of Turkmen people. He is the author of the work published in 1976 in Ashgabat by the publications of the Turkmenistan Academy “Ilım” under the title of “Derby of Conterrevolution in Horezm”.
