Araştırmanın amacı, Sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının tarih öğretimine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Veri toplama ve yorumlama sürecinde nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018- 2019 eğitim -öğretim yılı Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği bölümü 4.sınıf öğretmen adayları oluşturmuştur. Çalışmaya 19’u kadın, 14’ü erkek olmak üzere 4.sınıf düzeyinde toplam 33 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Görüşme yoluyla elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, mantıklı bir biçimde betimlenerek, sonra da alıntılarla yorumlanarak neden-sonuç ilişkilerine ulaşılmıştır. Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının tarih öğretimine ilişkin görüşleri betimlendikten sonra, elde edilen bu veriler ışığında değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Bulgular sonucunda sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayları, tarih öğretimini vatandaşlık bilinci açısından çok önemli gördüklerini, Tarih dersinin farklı yöntem ve tekniklerle anlatılmamasının tarih öğretiminde yaşanan büyük bir sorun olduğunu ifade etmişlerdir. Tarih dersinin anlatıma dayalı olması alışılagelmiş bir durum olarak görülmektedir. Tarih derslerinde yaşanan bu sorunlar için farklı yöntem ve teknikler kullanılmasının önemli bir çözüm yolu olduğunu, dersin ilgi çekiciliği açısından da eğitim materyallerinin, eğitici oyunların ve mekân gezilerinin tercih edilmesi gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir.Öğretmen adayları tarih dersinin sıkıcı bir ders olarak görülmekten kurtarılmasını hedeflemektedirler. Yaşanan bu sorunlar çözüm bulduğu takdirde tarih dersinin seyri de değişecektir.
The purpose of the research is to determine the opinions of social information teachers candidates on history teaching. In the process of data collection and interpretation, one of the quality research methods has been used. The research work group 2018-2019 educational year Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University School of Education Social Information Teaching Department formed 4th-class teachers candidates. The study included a total of 33 teachers candidates in the 4th grade, including 19 women and 14 men. The research data was collected in a semi-configured interview form. Imaginary analysis technique has been used in the analysis of the data obtained through the interview. The data obtained were achieved by reasonably described and then interpreted by quotes to the cause-resultation relationships. After the opinions of teachers candidates on history teaching were described, the results were evaluated in the light of these data obtained. According to the findings, social information teachers candidates have stated that the teaching of history is very important in terms of citizenship consciousness, and that the lack of the teaching of history by different methods and techniques is a major problem in the teaching of history. The story is considered to be an ordinary story. The use of different methods and techniques for these problems in history courses is an important solution, and in terms of the attractiveness of the course, educational materials, educational games and spacecraft should be preferred.Teacher candidates are aimed at saving the course of history from being seen as a boring course. If these problems are resolved, the course of history will also change.
The aim of the study is to determine the opinions of candidate social studies teachers as to history teaching. Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the process of data collection and interpretation. The study group of the study consisted of 4th grade teacher candidates from the Social Sciences Teaching Department of the Faculty of Education at Abant İzzet Baysal University in the 2018-2019 academic year. A total of 33 candidate teachers, 19 of whom were female and 14 of whom were male, participated in the study. Datas were collected through a semi-structured interview form. Descriptive analysis technique was used to analyze the data obtained through interviews. Reason-result relationships were obtained by describing the obtained datas logically and then interpreting it with quotations. After describing the views of candidate social studies teachers as to history teaching, evaluations were made in the light of these datas. As a result of the findings, candidate social studies teachers stated that history education is very important in terms of citizenship awareness and that not teaching History lesson with different methods and techniques is a big problem in history teaching.The fact that the history lesson is based on narration is seen as a customary situation. They stated that the use of different methods and techniques is an important solution for these problems in the history lessons and that educational materials, educational games and field trips should be preferred for the attractiveness of the lessons. If these problems are resolved, the course of history will also change.
