The aim of this qualitative study is to determine thoughts on gender of selected individuals who have risky behaviors in terms of sexually transmitted infections. Twelve focus group discussions and 24 in-depth interviews were conducted among 72 participants who female sex workers (24 person), men who have sex with men (24 person) and transsexuals (24 person). Data were analyzed by thematic coding method. Female sex workers stated that woman is less awareness of gender and insufficient knowledge about the social rights. Men who have sex with men stated that the rules in society is determined by men. Transsexual stated that gender roles for women are negative, the most important solution to the education of girls. Female sex workers’ awareness on gender issues and knowledge on negative consequences were inadequate, compared to other groups. The training programs recommended to raise awareness and knowledge about gender for female sex workers.
