Abstract A descriptive, cross-sectional study is presented in a group of adolescents between 15 and 18 years old from the Gustavo Aldereguía Lima Teaching Polyclinic in the municipality of Campechuela in 2017 with the aim of characterizing risky sexual behavior for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI). Most of the adolescents had started sexually and the starting ages were between 13 and 15 years. Adolescents show low perception of STI risk, less than half of the surveyed adolescents protect themselves. The most widely used method of protection is the condom, and there is no healthy, protective practice to prevent STI.
