Paul K. Feyerabend is a science philosopher who is opposed to the superiority of science and the unity of rules, standards and methods in science by defining the existing scientific understanding in the world as "the way we know" and is therefore known as an informational-churmatic anarchist. Feyerabend believes that "as we know" ignoring all the other rules and methods, science does not serve science in essence, rather it is blurred by it. Feyerabend thinks that science will progress only and only by the breach of the rules, methods or standards, and thus claims that scientific progress will occur by the breakdown of the scientific understanding. In this study, Feyerabend’s scientific understanding is addressed to the liberal and multi-scientific conception and the information-themary anarchism, which he summarizes with the slogan “whether” and “what” in front of those who reject all alternate research.
Paul K. Feyerabend, who characterises the current scientific understanding of the world “as it we know” science, is a science philosopher known as epistemological anarchist because of his opposition to the supremacy of science and its unique rules, criterias and methods. Feyerabend thinks that “as it we know” science does not serve to science but hinders it by ignoring other rules and methods of science. Feyerabend who thinks that science if and only advances by violating rules, methods and standards also argues that scientific progress will come true with the collapsing of stated science understanding. In this study dealing with science understanding of Feyerabend, who takes a stand against those refusing alternative science searchings, it is mentioned about his epistemological anarchism and his liberal and pluralistic understanding of science that is summerized by him as “anaything goes” motto.
