Küreselleşme Sürecinde Gelişmekte Olan Ülkelerde Dış Borçların İktisadi Kalkınma Üzerindeki Etkisi: Heterojen Panel Yaklaşımı

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada NIC olarak tanımlanan Brezilya, Çin, Hindistan, Endonezya, Malezya, Meksika, Filipinler, Güney Afrika, Tayland ve Türkiye’de dış borçlar ve iktisadi büyüme arasındaki kısa ve uzun dönem ilişki, ekonomik küreselleşme süreci içerisinde incelenmiştir. Aynı zamanda, bu ülkelerde dış borçlanmanın iktisadi büyümeyi hangi yönden etkilediği tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada, NIC ülkelerinin 1995-2015 dönemi heterojen panel veri analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Gengenbach (2016), eşbütünleşme ve AMG testi bulgularına göre, Brezilya, Hindistan, Endonezya, Malezya ve Güney Afrika ile Tayland’da dış borçlar uzun dönemde iktisadi büyümeyi negatif etkilemiştir. Çin, Meksika, Filipinler ve Türkiye’de ise uzun dönemde dış borçların iktisadi büyüme üzerinde anlamlı herhangi bir nedensellik etkisi yoktur.

Abstract:

In this research, the NIC defined as Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and Turkey between external debt and economic growth in the short-and long-term relationship, were investigated in the process of economic globalization. At the same time, it has been tried to determine in which way external debt affects economic growth in these countries. In the research, the period 1995-2015 of NIC countries was analyzed by heterogeneous panel data analysis method. According to gengenbach (2016), co-integration and AMG test findings, external debts in Brazil, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and South Africa and Thailand have negatively affected economic growth in the long term. In China, Mexico, the Philippines and Turkey, external debt has no significant causal effect on economic growth in the long term.
