Abstract:

According to this study and the perceptions of teachers working in high schools, it was intended to determine the relationship between school managers' toxic leadership behaviors and the levels of foreignization to work. The sample of the research is made up of 253 teachers who are in charge of high schools associated with the Ministry of National Education in the Erzurum or Yakutiye district in the 2018-2019 educational year. As a data collection tool in the study; the personal information form developed by the researcher was used to work with the Toxic Leadership Scale developed by Chelebi, Güner and Star (2015) and the Extraterrestrial Scale developed by the Apples (2003). For statistical analysis of data; average, standard deviation, Pearson Moments Collapse Correlation Screenshot has been used. However, a Multi-direct Regression Analysis has been conducted to determine the levels of dependency of independent variables. The study found that the highest level of selfishness in terms of the size of the leadership scale, while the highest level of selfishness in terms of the size of the employment scale, the highest level of selfishness in terms of the size of the employment scale, was the highest level of selfishness in terms of the size of the school scale. It has been shown that there is a high level of meaningful relationship between school managers’ toxic leadership behavior and teachers’ level of foreignization to work in a positive direction. According to the results of the regression analysis, the lower dimensions of the toxic leadership scale were found to be significantly lower than the lower dimensions of the employment scale.
