The purpose of this study is to determine tendency of interpersonal dependency of university students and examine whether differences between personality traits in terms of levels of interpersonal dependency The samples of the study are 283 undergraduates enrolled at Inonu University that they are 153 females and 130 males to be randomly determined ages ranging from 18 to 28 Interpersonal dependency tendencies of participants are determined by interpersonal dependency scale and their personality traits are determined by five factor inventory Relationship between tendency of interpersonal dependency and personality traits is examined by Pearson s correlation technique and according to levels of interpersonal dependency whether to diversify personality traits is examined by the one way MANOVA The positive relationship interpersonal dependency between neuroticism and agreeableness dimensions of five factors and negative relationship interpersonal dependency between extroversion dimensions are reached as a result of statistical processes Research findings demonstrated that individuals with low and high levels of interpersonal dependency in terms of extraversion neuroticism and compatibility of the five factor personality traits are differentiated According to age and gender five factor personality traits and interpersonal dependency tendencies of participants was not found significant difference
