So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to examine personality traits as a predictor of career indecision of high school students. The study group consisted of a total of 303 students, 159 girls and 144 boys, who attended high school 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. The participants' ages ranged from 14 to 19 years. The data of the study have been obtained by career decision scale (Çakır, 2004), Five factors personality scale (Somer, Korkmaz ve Tatar, 2007) and information form. In the analysis of the data Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, linear regression analysis, pearson correlation coefficient technique have been used. In the analyzes, SPSS.20 statistical program was used. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that neuroticism, extroversion and responsibility were predicted by occupational ambiguity in the dimension of the five-person scale of high school students. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that neuroticism, extroversion and conscientiousness dimensions of the five factor personality predicted career indecision of high school students. There was a positive relationship between career indecision and neuroticism, and a negative relationship between career indecision and extroversion and conscientiousness. Openness and agreeableness dimensions of perdonality were found not predict career indecision. According to the results of the research, the strongest predictor of career indecision is the neurotic personality dimension, and as the neuroticism increases, the career indecision increases.
