Bu çalışma sonucunda katılımcıların ikincil travmatik stress düzeyleri ile sosyal problem çözmenin negatif problem yönelimi, içtepisel-dikkatsiz stil, kaçınan stil boyutları arasında pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişkiler bulunurken; pozitif problem yönelimi ve[1] akılcı problem çözme stili ile anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmamıştır. Psikolojik danışmanların problem çözme becerileri arttıkça, ikincil travmatik stress düzeylerinin azaldığı bulunmuştur. Psikolojik danışmanların negatif problem yönelimi, içtepisel/dikkatsiz stil ve kaçınan stil düzeyleri arttıkça ikincil travmatik stress düzeylerinin arttığı bulunmuştur. Son olarak, negatif problem yönelimi okul psikolojik danışmanlarının ikincil travmatik stress düzeylerinin pozitif anlamlı yordayıcısı iken; pozitif problem yönelim, akılcı problem çözme, içtepisel-dikkatsiz stil ve kaçınan stilin ikincil travmatik stress düzeylerinin anlamlı bir yordayıcısı değildir.
