Abstract:

This study aims to examine the development of science knowledge teachers candidates in the subject of teaching the nature of science. The research was carried out with the participation of 41 teachers candidates who study in the 3rd grade of a state university. The study took place within the course of Nature and History of Science for a period. In this process, the teaching candidates have been trained on the topics of how the nature of science is integrated into the course, the importance of the nature of science teaching, the place in the curriculum, the Common Information Structure Model and the Context-based teaching approach, and how the nature of science is integrated into the course. Later, the teacher candidates were provided to prepare a curriculum and present these curriculum with the micro-learning method. Open-end questions, semi-configured conversations and diaries on the teaching of the nature of science were used as a data collection tool. Research results showed that the teaching of the content of the nature of science, the nature of science teaching, the knowledge of the content of science teaching, the knowledge of the content of science teaching, increased.
