Bu çalışmanın amacı; hayat safhalarının, sayfalarının nasıl olması gerektiği hususunda bir rol modeli olan Mehmet Akif'in, Safahat isimli eserinde tespit edilmemiş değerlerin olup olmadığını belirlemektir. Ayrıca; Türk edebiyatına, Türk milletine, İslam âlemine önemli hizmetlerde bulunan, İslam dünyasının kalkınması amacına ömrünü adayan Akif'in, Müslümanlar için önemli bir rehber olma vasfı taşıyan Safahat isimli eserinin eğitimsel anlamdaki değerini ortaya koymaktır. Safahat'ta yer alan değerler üzerinden, Akif'in hayali "Asım'ın Nesli"nin adayları konumundaki öğrencilerde ve onları yetiştirecek öğretmenlerde bir farkındalık oluşturulmak istenmektedir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma yöntemine uygun olarak durum çalışması deseninde hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmanın veri kaynağı, Mehmet Akif'in Safahat isimli şaheseriyle 33 öğretmen ve 687 öğrencidir. Verilerin toplanmasında; doküman analizi, ön testi ve son testi arasında konferanslara yer verilen anket yöntemi kullanılmış; verilerin analizinde ise betimsel analiz ve tema analizi yapılması suretiyle istatistikî sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Safahat'ta 41 tematik değer tespit edilmiştir. Bunlardan 17 tanesi bu çalışmayla ayrıntılı olarak belirlenmiştir. Safahat'taki değerlerin, öğrenciler ve öğretmenler tarafından bilinmediği hatta Safahat'ın Türk edebiyatındaki ve İslam dünyasındaki değerinin farkında olunmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu yönüyle çalışma, öğrenciler ve öğretmenlerde Mehmet Akif'e ve Safahat'a karşı önemli bir farkındalık oluşturmuştur. Ayrıca, çalışma kapsamında hazırlanan "Liselerde Mehmet Akif Ersoy ve Safahat seçmeli dersi olmalı mıdır?" anket sorusu öğrenciler ve öğretmenlerce oldukça rağbet görmüştür.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether life stages, a role model in how their pages should be, are not identified in the work of Mehmet Akif, Safahat. Furthermore, it is to show the educational value of the work Safahat, which is dedicated to the purpose of the development of the Islamic world, which serves the Turkish literature, the Turkish nation, the Islamic world in important services. Through the values found in Safahat, Akif's dream is to create a awareness in the students in the position of the candidates of "Asım's Generation" and in the teachers who will train them. The study is prepared in the case study pattern according to the quality research method. The data source of the study is 33 teachers and 687 students with Mehmet Akif’s character named Safahat. In the collection of data, the survey method was used between the document analysis, the pre-test and the final test, and in the analysis of data, statistical results were obtained by the way of the visual analysis and the theme analysis. In Safahat, 41 thematic values have been identified. 17 of them were detailed in this study. The conclusion was that the values in Safahat were not known by students and teachers, and even the value of Safahat in Turkish literature and in the Islamic world was not realized. In this direction, the study has created a significant awareness in students and teachers against Mehmet Akif and Safahat. In addition, the study was prepared in the framework of "Do Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Safahat have to be a selective lesson in high schools?" Students and teachers were very concerned about the question.
