Abstract:

Disasters are events that do not determine the time of occurrence, which are due to natural and human causes, causing physical, economic and social losses to humans. Disaster management plans are created to be prepared for disasters before and after disasters. Disaster management plans are prepared for potential disasters, and the negative effects of the disasters are quickly overcome. Disaster management plans are aimed at minimizing losses. The existing disaster management plans to be prepared for disasters include children, but remain insufficient to meet the needs of children. In the world, many studies on this subject have been done and implemented. However, there is no child-centered disaster management plan in Turkey. It is believed that this study will provide awareness and awareness about the development of child-centered disaster management plans, which will provide a guide to what should be done before, at and after disaster for children.
