Abstract:

The artist’s source of inspiration has shown continuous changes from prehistoric period to present, and the artists have shown the events and forms that influence themselves with various techniques and methods. The desires of the artists to reach the ideal beauty have sometimes idealized the divine beauty, but sometimes the human beauty has taken the forefront and aimed at achieving the ideal anatomical forms. The artists who have changed the relationship of the artist with the ideal beauty in some periods have depicted the ugly that is sick, bad, missing and wrong. In the art, the patient's paintings in the main paintings of the ugly have made figures with body deformation especially. The changing forms and effects of the disease in the historical process have continued to appear in the forms of the artists, the purity of the bodies cursed in the epidemic of the Ebola, the deformation in the bodies of the frangile patients, the deadly consequences of the Spanish flu, the artists have been subject to the works of the form and color era that have been spiritually influenced by artists. The image of the disease, which is among the unlimited sources of inspiration of the modern artist, has gained another meaning by the artist’s interpretation of ugly as a aesthetic value. The modern artist has reinterpreted the forms of deformation, which originates from disease, the challenge that arises against the ideal beauty; the anatomical rules have been abandoned and the body’s poor and deformed state has become a re-created aesthetic image in the artist’s expression. The research has historically given the shortness of the transformation of beauty in the painting art, the reflection of the disease in the art forms and the effects of it, the artists determined by standard sample in the works of the plastic transformations of the disease forms and the content assessment of the transformation of the disease in the art form of the disease in the ugly aesthetics.
