Abstract:

Text prepared in the primary school, taking into account the development and age of students, plays a major role in the acquisition of reading skills. In this regard, it is important to study the texts prepared for primary school students according to the textility criteria and to determine the levels of readability. In this context, the purpose of the research is to evaluate the texts within the framework of the fourth class Turkish lesson and the texts within the Morpa Campus educational platform according to the textility and readability criteria.  The study examined the narrative texts included in the fourth class Turkish curriculum and the narrative texts included in the Morpa Campus educational platform. For this, first of all the text in the curriculum and the Morpa Campus educational platform were studied in terms of the distribution to the text type and themes. With the narrative texts contained in the primary Turkish curriculum books, the narrative texts contained in the Morpa Campus educational platform are separated from other types of text. Then, a narrative text from each topic was randomly chosen to be studied. The Morpa Campus Education platform has not been reviewed because the "Art" and "Science and Technology" topics have not been found in narrative texts. Thus, 14 narrative texts selected in eight topics were taken to review. The texts selected in the framework of the research were analyzed by visual content analysis. The research has found that the texts are compatible with the textality standards, and their readability levels are above the class level.
