Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the memories that classmates do not forget and think they are important during their teaching process. For this purpose, a narrative work was carried out on 76 class teachers who served in the Army of the Altınordu district. The teachers were asked to tell the story of one/some of the memories they lived during the first reading. The data is collected through conversations and written documents (mail, composition). The thematic analysis method focused on what is described in the analysis of data was used. As a result of the analysis of the stories, 6 topics have been created, including teaching principles and methods/techniques, reading-writing teaching, negative environmental conditions, professional love, professional qualification, and other topics. These subjects are divided into categories. The research has found that teachers have faced difficulties in teaching professional qualifications, guardians, the socio-economic disadvantages of the environment and the causes of school maturity and in the teaching of primary reading. In addition, the teachers have taken into account the elements that can affect the organization of the teaching environment in the first reading writing teaching and the result is achieved that they love their profession.
