Türkiye’de İşe Yabancılaşma (Work alienation) Literatürüne İlişkin Betimsel Bir İnceleme

İşe yabancılaşma literatürü ile ilgili olarak uluslararası anlamda çok sayıda çalışma yapılmasına rağmen Türkiye’de konuya ilişkin ilginin son on yılda arttığı görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmada Türkiye’de 2009-2019 yılları arasında işe yabancılaşma yazınının durumu makaleler ile lisansüstü tezler üzerinden betimlenerek araştırmacılara ve uygulayıcılara yönelik genel bir çerçeve sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda 67 adet makale ve 61 adet lisansüstü tez, kavramsal çerçeve ve yöntem bakımından detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Sonuçlara göre işe yabancılaşmayla ilgili yapılan çalışmaların büyük bir çoğunluğunun görgül araştırmalara dayandığı, nicel yöntemleri benimsediği, veri toplamada Hirschfeld ve Field (2000) ile (Mottaz, 1981) tarafından hazırlanan İşe Yabancılaşma Ölçeği’nin tercih edildiği görülmektedir. Ayrıca araştırmacıların en çok tercih ettiği örneklem grubunun öğretmenler, otel çalışanları, çeşitli özel sektör firmalarında çalışanlar ve sağlık çalışanları olduğu, verilerin analizinde korelasyon, regresyon, t-testi ve ANOVA’nın kullanıldığı ifade edilebilir. Sonuçlardan haraketle kavramın derinlemesine incelenmesine olanak tanıyacağı için araştırmacılara nitel veya karma çalışmalara daha fazla yer vermeleri gerektiği önerilmektedir.

A visual review of Work Alienation in Turkey

Abstract:

Despite the numerous international studies on foreignization literature, the interest in this topic in Turkey has increased over the last decade. Therefore, in this study in Turkey between 2009-2019 years, the status of the foreignization text is designed to present a general framework for researchers and practitioners, depicted through articles and postgraduate theses. In this context, 67 articles and 61 postgraduate theses have been studied in detail in terms of conceptual framework and methodology. According to the findings, the majority of the work on employment alienation is based on visual research, the quantitative methods are adopted, the data collection is prepared by Hirschfeld and Field (2000) and (Mottaz, 1981) for the preference of the employment alienation scale. It can also be stated that the most preferred sample group by researchers is teachers, hotel staff, staff in various private sector firms and healthcare staff, the analysis of the data is using correlation, regression, t-test and ANOVA. It is recommended that researchers provide more space for qualitative or mixed studies, as the results will allow them to study the concept in depth.

There has been a great amount of international research body on work alienation, the studies on work alienation have increased over the years in Turkey. This study aims to elaborate on the concept of work alienation using the articles, theses and dissertations between the years of 2009-2019 in Turkey. 67 articles and 61 postgraduate theses were examined in detail in terms of methodology and conceptional framework. Results show that the majority of the studies on work alienation used empirical research and quantitative methods, and Work alienation scales by Hirschfeld & Field (2000) and (Mottaz, 1981) to collect data. Additionally, the most preferred sample groups were teachers, hotel employees, employees in various private sector companies and healthcare workers. Lastly, correlation analysis, regression, t-test and ANOVA were used to analyse data. Based on the results, it is recommended that qualitative and mixed designs can be used to examine work alienation in detail.
