Abstract:

Suriye’de devam eden iç savaşa, birçok büyük devlet gibi Rusya da müdahil olmuş ve tarihi müttefiki Esad’ın yanında saf tutmuştur. Öte yandan Suriye’nintemel vatandaşlık haklarını bile vermediği Kürtler, bu iç savaşta hem Esad hem de Rusya için önemli bir ortak haline gelmiştir. Başka bir ifade ile Rusya, tarihi bir politikası olarak, bölge üzerindeki etkisini koruyabilmek için Kürtleri bir kez daha kullanmaya başlamıştır. Ancak bu sefer amaç, Suriye Hükümetini kendi yanına çekmek değil, zaten kendi yanında olan Esad’ı desteklemektir.
