Abstract:

Entrepreneur is the person offering a product or service in order to profit by combining production factors to meet human needs. Entrepreneur is the individual who plays, organizes and manages all activities in the process of creating value and gaining profit, in addition to the entrepreneurial intention that will meet the human needs. In today’s business world where competition runs, entrepreneurship is becoming more important every day. Change and transformation from the main flows of the 21st century reveals that entrepreneurship is a necessary element for social and organizational development. Digitalization, Industry 4.0 practices, uncertainty, contextual fluctuations are factors that influence the importance of entrepreneurial activities in the process of providing a sustainable competitive advantage. Leadership that guides organizations, taking into account the environmental factors that the age requires, and promotes innovative activities by uniting employees around organizational goals, is defined as entrepreneurial leadership. In this context, entrepreneurial leadership is an essential element for entrepreneurs who want to be sustainable in today’s innovation, digitalization, transformation-oriented competitive environment. Entrepreneurial leaders are those who implement their activities in the entrepreneurial development of both newly established organizations and existing institutions. In this study, the concept of entrepreneurship is based on literature, entrepreneurship and characteristics are discussed and entrepreneurial leadership is discussed.
