Cümleleri birbirine bağlamak ve anlamı algılamak noktasında bağlaç ve edatlar her dilde olduğu gibi Arapça’da da çok önemlidir. Edatların ve bağlaçların içerik ve görevleri, duruma göre değişir. Arapça’da çok kullanılan edatlardan biri de “Lâ” edatıdır. Bu edatın cümledeki kullanılışına göre beş farklı çeşidi vardır. Fiillere müdahil olan “en-nâfiye” (olumsuzluk bildiren) ve “en-nâhiye” (olumsuz emir filler için kullanılan) adlı iki tür vardır. Benzer şekilde “ليس /Leyse” görevini yapan ve türün tamamını geçersiz kılan (en-nâfiye li’l-cins) biçimleri de söz konusudur. Başka bir “Lâ” türü daha vardır ki “zâide” (fazlalık) olarak isimlendirilir ancak bu türe metinlerde fazla rastlanmaz. Son çeşidin vurgulama ve pekiştirme amacıyla ifadelerde yer aldığı değerlendirilir. “Lâ” edatının farklı türlerinin her biri özel şartlara ve anlamlara sahiptir. Nitekim “Lâ” edatı birbirinden farklı görevlerde sadece Bakara Sûresi’nde 165 defa geçmektedir. The conjunctions and prepositions are very important in Arabic in connecting the sentences and perceiving the meaning, as it is so in every language. The contents and functions of prepositions and conjunctions vary according to the situation. One of the most frequently used prepositions in Arabic is “La”. There are five different functions of this preposition according to its usage in a given sentence. It has two types such as ‘an-Nafiya’ that states negation and added to verbs, and ‘an-Nahiya’ that is used for negative imperative verbs. Similarly, there are also forms of ‘an-Nafiya li al-jins’ that functions as ‘ليس /Leyse’ and invalidates the whole type. There is another type of ‘La’, called ‘zaida’ (surplus), but this type is not often encountered in texts. It is considered that this type functions to emphasize and consolidate the meaning. Each different type of the preposition ‘la’ has special conditions and meanings. Even only in the Surah al-Baqarah, there are 165 different functions of the preposition ‘la’. This study examines in detail the characteristics of the preposition ‘la’ and its usages in the Surah al-Baqarah.
