Abstract:

This study aims to reveal the tourism perspective of the local people and to contribute to sustainable tourism planning in the area. The tourism that is developing and affects all individuals that are related every day, the viewpoint of the local people is of importance in terms of sustainability of tourism activities. Tourism plannings related to the destinations are carried out while the potential effects of tourism should be studied and included in the plannings. The research has been used by the structured forms of questioning, which is the quantum research method. The local people believe that tourism will not change the traditional culture, will not lead to devastating effects, and will provide the local people with economic benefits. In light of the questions addressed to the local public, the study found that the viewpoint of the local people in the size of the tourism impacts in Buldan was positive and recommendations on the sustainable development of tourism were made.
