Edinilmiş mallara katılma rejimini sona erdiren sebepler ve bu mal rejiminin sona erme anı 4721 sayılı Türk Medeni Kanunu m. 225’te düzenlenmiştir. Maddede belirtildiği üzere “Mal rejimi, eşlerden birinin ölümü veya başka bir mal rejiminin kabulüyle sona erer./ Mahkemece evliliğin iptal veya boşanma sebebiyle sona erdirilmesine veya mal ayrılığına geçilmesine karar verilmesi hâllerinde, mal rejimi dava tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere sona erer.”. Çalışmamızda edinilmiş mallara katılma rejimini sona erdiren sebeplerden birinin söz konusu olduğu durumlarda, mal rejiminin hangi andan itibaren sona ereceği inceleme konusu yapılmıştır.
