Amaç – Çalışmada, 5 yıldızlı otel işletmelerinde yönetim kontrol sisteminin alt boyutlarının işletme performansına etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem – Araştırma, Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren 5-yıldızlı otel işletmeleri üzerine yapılmıştır. Veri toplama tekniği olarak anket formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan anket formu genel olarak iki ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, demografik sorular yer alırken, ikinci bölümde araştırmanın konusuna yönelik ölçek soruları bulunmaktadır. Ölçeklerde yer alan sorular 7’li Likert tipi derecelendirme ölçeğine göre düzenlenmiştir. Otel işletmelerine dağıtılan anket formlarından sağlanan geri dönüşler sonucunda, analize hazır halde 266 adet anket formu elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler, istatistik paket programları aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular – Yönetim kontrol sistemi alt boyutlarından olan değerler sistemi ve etkileşimli kontrol sisteminin işletme performansı üzerine anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu görülmüştür. Tartışma – Yönetim kontrol sistemi, koordineli ve iyi bir şekilde kullanılırsa otel işletmeleri açısından faydalı olabilecek bir sistem olduğu için otel yöneticilerine yönelik olarak sistemin verimli bir şekilde kullanılması önerilmektedir.
Purpose - The study aims to investigate the impact of the subdimensions of the management control system on the operating performance in 5-star hotel enterprises. Method - The research was done on 5-star hotel companies operating in Turkey. The data collection technique is used. The survey form used in the study is generally composed of two main sections. The first part includes demographic questions, while the second part includes scale questions on the subject of the research. The questions in the scales are arranged according to the Likert type rating scale 7. As a result of feedback from the survey forms distributed to the hotel enterprises, 266 survey forms were obtained ready for analysis. The data obtained in the study was analyzed through the statistical package programs. The findings - The values system and the interactive control system, which are the underdimensions of the management control system, have been shown to have a significant impact on the operating performance. Debate - The management control system is recommended to use the system efficiently for hotel managers, because it is a system that can be beneficial for hotel enterprises if used in a coordinated and well-used way.
