Bu araştırma; Güzel Sanatlar ve Tasarım Fakültesi öğrencilerinin “sanatçı” kavramına ilişkin sahip oldukları zihinsel imgeleri ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya Kastamonu Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar ve Tasarım Fakültesi, Geleneksel Türk Sanatları, Grafik Tasarım, Resim ve Seramik- Cam Bölümlerinde öğrenimlerine devam eden 168 öğrenci katılmıştır. Öğrencilerden, “Sanatçı …………benzer çünkü ………… gibidir” cümlesini tamamlamalarıyla veriler elde edilmiştir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden içerik analizi modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda öğrenciler, sanatçı ile ilgili olarak toplam 69 adet geçerli metafor üretmiştir. Bu metaforlar, ortak özellikleri bakımından irdelenerek on farklı kavramsal kategori altında toplanmıştır. Söz konusu bu kavramsal kategorilerin katılımcı türü, bölümler ve üretilen metaforlar açısından önemli derecede farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.
This research was carried out with the aim of revealing the intellectual images that students of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design have about the "artistic" concept. The research was attended by 168 students from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design of Kastamonu University, which continued their studies in the traditional Turkish arts, graphic design, painting and ceramic glass departments. Students received data by completing the phrase "Artist is ............ because he is ............" In the assessment of the data, the content analysis model of the quality research methods was used. At the end of the study, students produced a total of 69 current metaphors in relation to the artist. These metaphors have been gathered under ten different conceptual categories in terms of their common characteristics. These conceptual categories have been found to be significantly different in terms of the type of participant, sections and produced metaphors.
