Abstract:

In today's world, entrepreneurship is a very important issue as it represents the imagination and creativity of the individual, which is the human capital of businesses. The main purpose of this study is to determine the entrepreneurship levels of university students who are potential entrepreneur candidates and to examine whether there is a significant difference between the descriptive qualities of the students and their entrepreneurship average score. In the study conducted with the participation of 219 students, the entrepreneurship scale of Yılmaz and Sünbül (2009) was used. In the analysis of the data, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H difference tests were used in addition to descriptive statistics. As a result of the research, it was determined that more than half of the university students (56.6%) did not take any courses on entrepreneurship, but it was determined that the students had a high level of entrepreneurship (136.24 ± 23.89). It has been calculated that the departments with the highest level of entrepreneurship are Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Dietetics, Child Development, Nursing and Occupational Health and Safety, respectively. As a result of the difference tests, it was determined that the only significant difference belongs to the department variable. It was determined that this significant difference was caused by the students of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department (126,93) compared to the students studying in the Occupational Health and Safety Department (66,14). Therefore, it may be suggested to add courses closely related to entrepreneurship that can guide the professional lives of students to the curriculum.
