Abstract:

The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the language knowledge achievements included in the 2019 primary school Turkish lesson curriculum. In line with this goal, the opinions of class teachers on language knowledge, the activities and practices they have done have been determined. The research method is used as a research method. The study has been determined by measurement sampling and easy-to-accessful state sampling from the sample methods intended for the study group. The language knowledge interview form developed by the researcher as a data collection tool has been used. The study was conducted by interviews with 16 classmates. In the study, content analysis was made in order to analyze in depth the opinions and practices of classmates on the provision of language knowledge achievements, to reveal their opinions, similarities and differences. According to the research results, classmates see language teaching at primary school level as a requirement for Turkish teaching. The content of the language knowledge subjects in the primary school Turkish lesson curriculum should be enriched, the number and quality of the activities aimed at the language knowledge subjects included in the Turkish curriculum books should be increased.
