Yabancı Dil Öğretimi Kitaplarında Otantik Metinlerin Dil Becerileri Ekseninde Kullanımı

Abstract:

Yabancı dil öğretiminde metinler, oluşturulma amacına göre kurgu ve otantik metinler olmak üzere ikiye ayrılmakta ve her iki türe ait metinler yabancı/ikinci dil öğretimi kitaplarında kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada yabancılara Türkçe öğretmek amacıyla hazırlanan Yeni Hitit Yabancılar İçin Türkçe Ders Kitabı seti ve İngilizceyi ikinci dil olarak öğretme amacıyla hazırlanan New Headway Ders Kitabı setlerinde yer alan metinler öncelikle kurgu ve otantik olarak sınıflandırılmış, ardından otantik metinler dil becerileri ekseninde incelenmiştir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan betimsel analizden yararlanılmış, veriler Maxqda Pro programıyla analiz edilmiştir. İki setteki ders kitapları incelendiğinde her seviyede kurgu metinlerin otantik metinlere göre nicel olarak daha fazla sayıda yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Yeni Hitit Yabancılar İçin Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki otantik metinler en çok okuma, New Headway ders kitaplarındaki otantik metinler ise en çok konuşma becerisinin gelişimini sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Okuma ve konuşma öğrenme alanları, New Headway ders kitaplarında en sık bir arada ele alınan dil becerileri olurken Yeni Hitit Yabancılar İçin Türkçe ders kitaplarında en sık bir arada ele alınan dil becerileri okuma ve yazma olarak belirlenmiştir.

Use Of Authentic Texts In The Language Skills Axis In Foreign Language Teaching Books

Abstract:

In foreign language teaching, the texts are divided into two, fictional and authentic texts according to the purpose of creation, and the texts of both types are used in foreign/second language teaching books. In this study, the New Headway Teaching Books set prepared for the purpose of teaching foreigners Turkish and the text included in the New Headway Teaching Books set prepared for the purpose of teaching English as a second language was first classified as fictional and authentic, then the authentic text was studied in the axis of language skills. In the study, the visual analysis of the qualitative research methods was used, the data was analyzed with the Maxqda Pro program. When the two sets of textbooks were studied, it was found that fictional texts at each level were quantitatively more listed than authentic texts. The authentic texts in the Turkish curriculum books are most read and the authentic texts in the New Headway curriculum books are aimed at developing the most speaking skills. The areas of reading and speech learning are the language skills most frequently discussed together in the New Headway curriculum books, while the language skills most frequently discussed together in the Turkish curriculum books for New Hitit foreigners are defined as reading and writing.
