Abstract:

The objective of this research is to determine the self-qualifications of class teacher candidates for environmental education in terms of various variables. In the research, scan schemes were used from quantum research methods. The examples of the study are made by 274 (from 1st grade 74, 2nd grade 72, 3rd grade 65 and 4th grade 63) class teachers who study at different class levels of the Bachelor of Class Teaching Program. For the purpose of gathering data in the study, the Environmental Education Qualification Perception Scale (CÖYÖ) developed by Özdemir, Aydin and Akar Vural (2009) was used. It consists of four subdimensions: the perception of academic competence - AYA, the perception of responsibility - SA, the perception of teaching competence - OYA and the perception of guidance - YA. The reliability of the CTQ was recalculated by the researchers and the reliability of the whole scale was determined as α=0.81. In the sub-dimensions, α was calculated as 0.85 for AYA and SA, 0.88 for LFA, and 0.80 for YA. For the analysis of the data obtained from the CTQ, firstly, normality analysis was performed on the data, and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test was applied. Then, one-way ANOVA, Kruskall-Wallis and Independent Sample t tests were used for significance analysis. In the study, it was determined that the environmental self-efficacy perceptions of the primary school teacher candidates did not vary according to the grade level and gender.
