Abstract:

Türkçe erken okuryazarlık becerilerini değerlendirmektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Van’a bağlı Gevaş ve İpekyolu ilçelerinde okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam eden ana dili Türkçe olan 40 ve olmayan 40 olmak üzere toplam 80 çocuk oluşturmaktadır. Karaman (2013) tarafından geliştirilen ve araştırmada kullanılan Erken Okuryazarlık Becerilerini Değerlendirme Aracı her çocuğa bireysel olarak uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın veri analizi parametrik test varsayımlarının karşılandığı durumlar için bağımsız örneklemler t-testi, karşılanmadığı durumlar için ise Mann-Whitney U Testi kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre araçtaki alt testlerin ve alt boyutların tamamında ana dili Türkçe olan çocuklar lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur.

Turkey is to evaluate early literary skills. The study group consists of a total of 80 children, including 40 and 40 non-Turkish, which are the mother tongue of the pre-school education institution in the Gevaş and Ipekyolu districts connected to Van. The Early Reading Skills Assessment Tool developed by Karaman (2013) and used in research is applied to each child individually. The data analysis of the study was carried out using the T-Test of independent samples for cases where the parametric test assumptions were met and the Mann-Whitney U Test for cases where they were not met. According to the findings of the research, a significant difference was found for children with the mother tongue Turkish in all the sub-tests and sub-dimensions in the vehicle.

The study group of the research consists of 80 children, 40 of whom has Turkish as their native language and 40 of whom does not have Turkish as their native language, attending pre-school education institution in Gevaş and İpekyolu districts of Van. In this study, we applied The Early Literacy Skills Assessment Tool which was developed by Karaman (2013) to each child individually. Data analysis of the study; independent samples t-test was used for cases in which the parametric test assumptions were met, and the Mann-Whitney U Test was used for cases where they were not met. A significant difference was found in favor of children whose native language is Turkish in all of the subtest and sub-dimensions of tool as a result of this study.
