Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the time management skill levels of primary school teachers in the teaching process. For this purpose, it was investigated whether there is a statistically significant difference between the time management skill levels of teachers in the teaching process according to some independent variables. The universe and sample of the research consists of 259 teachers working in primary schools in the Türkoğlu district of Kahramanmaraş on the basis of class and branch. In the research, the data were collected by means of "Time Management Scale in the Teaching Process". In the analysis of data; arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Post Hoc multiple comparison tests were used. In the study, it was found that teachers' time management skill levels in the teaching process are "very high". At the same time, while the means of the groups formed based on the independent variables of "gender", "age", "professional seniority", "education level", "time of service at the school", "time management in daily life" were found to be significantly different, they were not significantly different in terms of such independent variables as "branch", "class level taught", "reading publications related to time management" and "participation in any activity related to time management. The findings were discussed based on the relevant literature and various suggestions were made.
