Abstract:

It is possible to come across repeated poems in the divans of different poets in classical Turkish literature. It has been known for a long time that in the divans of the divan poets, in different copies of their divans and in the magazines, the same poems with minor changes or exactly the same poems were registered in the names of two different poets. It is possible to evaluate some of these poems, which are included in the divans with minor differences, within the framework of the nazire tradition. However, some of these poems are the product of studies that go beyond the nazire tradition and approach plagiarism. Sometimes it is possible to have the same poem in the divans of different poets due to human-induced errors, while sometimes it is seen that the same poems originating from the copyist, magazine compiler, or researcher are included in the divans of different poets. In the divans of Necati Bey and Edirneli Şevkî, there are two ghazals, one with minor differences and the other exactly the same. In this study, it was questioned to whom the two poems belonged to the divan of two poets who lived in the same century, showing the features mentioned. Ghazals in which both poets' pseudonyms are found in the makta couplet, which is exactly included in the divans of Necâtî Bey and Edirneli Şevkî, were examined within the framework of joint poetry, nazire, plagiarism, and it was questioned how the ghazals entered the divan of both poets. It was tried to determine to which poet the ghazals, which were examined under different titles (material evidence, content, style, nazire, syntax…) belonged. The study will be divided into two, since examining which poet the two ghazals belong to would exceed the limits of the article. In the first article, the poets' ghazals with five couplets will be examined, and in the second study, it will be questioned who the seven couplet ghazal belongs to.
