Suriyeli öğrencilerin Türk eğitim sistemine entegrasyonu sürecinde sınıf öğretmenlerinin yaşadığı sorunların tespiti ve çözümüne dair önerilerin geliştirilmesi bu araştırmanın amacıdır. Araştırma Şanlıurfa Haliliye ilçesindeki sınıf öğretmenlerini kapsamaktadır. Haliliye merkez ilkokullarda görev yapan ve araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturan 40 sınıf öğretmeni ile görüşülmüştür. Sınıf öğretmenlerinin en az 4 yıl görev yapmış vegörevli olduğu yıllarda sınıfında Suriyeli öğrenci bulunması katılım ölçütleri olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma grubu; eğitim düzeyi, cinsiyet ve kıdem yılı gibi farklı demografik özelliklere sahip öğretmenler arasından seçilerek oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Formun birinci bölümünde demografik bilgiler, ikinci bölümde ise Suriyeli öğrencilerin Türk eğitim sistemine uyumu sürecinde sınıf öğretmenlerinin yaşadığı sorunların tespiti ve çözüm önerilerine dönük sorular sorulmuştur. Veriler 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar döneminde yapılan görüşmeler ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Nitel veriler ayrıntılı bir şekilde analiz edilerek yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen verilere göre sınıf öğretmenlerinin yaşadığı sorunlar arasında dil engeli sorununun öne çıktığı, dil engeli nedeniyle öğrencilerin akademik başarılarının düşük olduğu, öğrencilerin kendilerini yeterince ifade edememelerinden kaynaklı şiddet eğilimi gösterdikleri belirtilmiştir. Dil engelinin velilerle iletişimde zorluklara neden olduğu görülmüştür. Suriyeli çocukların Türk eğitim sistemine dâhil edilmesi neticesinde öğrencilerde süreç içinde olumlu değişimlerin gözlemlendiği, ancak sınıflarda öğrenci sayılarının artmasına bağlı olarak sınıf yönetiminde zorlukların yaşandığı belirtilmiştir. Suriyeli öğrenci sayısının bazı sınıflarda Türk öğrenci sayısını aştığı görülmüştür. Suriyeli öğrencilerin eğitime dâhil edilmeden önce Türkçeyi öğrenmeleri ve Suriyeli velilerin deTürkçe dil kurslarına alınmaları önerileri sunulmuştur.
The purpose of this research is to develop recommendations on the identification and resolution of the problems faced by classmates in the process of integration of Syrian students into the Turkish educational system. The study covers teachers in the Sanlıurfa Haliliye district. Haliliye center was discussed with 40 class teachers who worked in primary schools and formed the sample of the research. In the years in which class teachers have served for at least 4 years, the participation of Syrian students in the class is determined as criteria. The work group was created by selecting teachers with different demographic characteristics, such as education level, gender and senior year. In the study, a semi-configured conversation form was used. In the first part of the form, demographic information, and in the second part, questions are asked to identify the problems that classmates experience in the process of adaptation of Syrian students to the Turkish educational system and to the suggestions for solutions. The data was collected by the talks held in the spring period of the 2021-2022 educational year. The study has been used for the study of the quality research patterns. The data collection technique has been used. The data is analyzed in a detailed manner. According to the data obtained, among the problems that classmates experience, the problem of language disability is highlighted, the student’s academic achievements are low due to language disability, the student’s tendency to be violent due to the fact that they cannot express themselves sufficiently. The language barrier causes difficulties in communicating with the parents. As a result of the inclusion of Syrian children into the Turkish educational system, positive changes were observed in students during the process, but there were difficulties in class management due to the increase in the number of students in the classes. The number of Syrian students in some classes exceeds the number of Turkish students. There are recommendations for Syrian students to learn Turkish before they are included in their education and for Syrian parents to take Turkish language courses.
