Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the levels of factors that influence the participation of university students in physical activities in their free time in terms of various variables. The sample of the study is composed of 627 volunteer bachelor students studying at the faculty and higher schools in Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University's central settlement (Gölköy Campus). The research data was obtained through the internet. The research data was collected by Özbey (1994) with the scale of the reasons for participation/participation in physical activities in the free time of students, academic and administrative staff of the Middle East Technical University. According to the research results, students have statistically significant differences in their participation to SZFE in terms of age, income level, faculty, class, time of participation, form of participation and type of participation. Recreation and SZFE philosophy should be perceived by the university governments as part of academic education for university students, the university students should be awareness of the SZFEs.
