Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to study whether there is a relationship between high school students' behavioral problems and social skill scores. This research is a quantitative study in the relative scan model that studies the relationship between behavioral problems and social skills in high school 6th and 7th grade students. A total of 822 students in 6th and 7th classes participated in the research conducted in 14 secondary schools in the Bahçelievler District of Istanbul. The study used the Updated Problem Behavior Control List and the Matson Social Skills Assessment Scale as a data collection tool. The study found a meaningful relationship between students' behavioral problems scores and social skills scores. Behavioral disorder, socialized aggression, attention problems-toylum, anxiety-interruption, motor tension, psychotic behavior points have seen social skills, positive social behavior and negative social behavior points differ.
