Abstract:

The findings of the prehistoric periods of the army show that the traces of human beings present on the site are equivalent to the post-Paleolithic Age. This is why the town has a rich cultural heritage. A significant part of this inheritance is made up of public beliefs. Although people’s beliefs and some practices are seen as a partnership, hurafe or bid’at in terms of Islam’s plan of beliefs, this is an extremely important element in terms of being the foundation of important information about a nation’s culture, lifestyle, and age and age. Therefore, the people’s belief has taken the role of a major bridge between the past and the present of the Turkish culture. The existing public beliefs about birth and death in the army area are the main element of this work. Similar beliefs about birth and death can be found in the various regions of Anadolu. But in this study, a number of beliefs specific to the Army's place concerning birth and death were also sought to be identified and revealed. This study was conducted by monitoring the method of interview and was attempted to identify the characteristic characteristics of the existing public beliefs in the site.
