Abstract:

Reading is an action that is not limited to the school period, which the individual will use throughout his lifetime. The importance of educating people who have acquired the reading culture is here. To educate individuals with a reading culture, books need to carry some characteristics. Internal structural characteristics that cover the subject, mirror, plan, messages, characters, language and narrative; size, paper, cover/cut, page layout, letters, images, external structural characteristics, basic educational principles and critical thinking skills are qualified. With these characteristics, the book should be in accordance with the principle of relativity for the child. The purpose of this research is Samed Behrengi. The importance of raising individuals who have acquired a reading culture emerges here. In order to raise individuals with a reading culture, books must have some features. Internal structure features including subject, theme, plan, messages, characters, language and expression and external structure features such as size, paper, cover/ vol, page layout, letters, pictures and books which have basic educational principles and critical thinking skills are considered qualified. Along with these features, the book must also comply with the principle of child relativity. The aim of this research is to examine Samed Behrengi’s children book named “Küçük Kara Balık” in terms of internal structure features, external structure features and basic education principles and critical thinking skills, also considering the principle of relativity to the child. In the research, “descriptive analysis” technique was used. As a result of the examinations, it has been determined that the children book named “Küçük Kara Balık” is qualified in terms of internal structure features, external structure features, basic education principles, critical thinking skills and is suitable for the principle of relativity to the child.
