Abstract:

In this study, the aim is to adapt to the Climate Change Prevention Measure (IDEO) developed by Li and Monroe (2018) to Turkey. The study was conducted on three separate study groups consisting of 453 university students. The study of linguistic equality identified high correlations in the positive direction between the scale's score from the Turkish and English forms. The structure validity of the Turkish form of the IDEU was tested using the first and second level verifying factor analysis (DFA) with the opening factor analysis (AFA). The AFA has a structure that covers the three-dimensional original form of the scale and describes 51.37% of the total variance. The first-level DFA has determined that the three-dimensional structure in the original form of the scale is also applicable to the Turkish culture. The second-level DFA has found that the hope to prevent climate change can be measured by dimensions of disbelief and disbelief in finding ways to find solutions in the individual area, in finding ways to find solutions in the social area and in finding ways to find ways to find solutions. Cronbach alpha and compound reliability ratings have been calculated to study the reliability of measurements collected with the EDEO. Having taken into account the material numbers in the lower scales, it has been concluded that calculated reliability values can prove the reliability of measurements. Materials analysis results showed that the substance correlations exceeded the .30 threshold value for all substances in the ECHR. These findings relating to the study reflect that the Turkish form of the scale produces valid and reliable measurements.
