Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı okul yöneticilerinin ve öğretmenlerin öğretmen liderliğine ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Bu çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemi ve fenomenoloji deseni ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın katılımcı grubunu Ankara’da kamu ve özel ilkokullarda görev yapmakta olan 10 öğretmen ile altı okul yöneticisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen liderliğinin meslektaşlarla işbirliği, karara katılım, paylaşımcı olma, değişime ve yeniliklere öncülük etme, rehber olma, rol model olma gibi kavramlarla ilişkilendirildiği görülmekle birlikte öğretmen liderlerin bürokratik, yönetici tutumu gibi çeşitli engellerle de karşılaştıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu bağlamda öğretmenlerin liderlik davranışlarının artması amacı ile onları desteklemek, bu becerilerini ortaya koyabilecekleri ve geliştirebilecekleri bir okul kültürü yaratmak önerilebilir.

Teacher Leadership According To School Managers and Teachers' Opinions: A Phenomenological Study

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the views of school managers and teachers on the teacher’s leadership. This study was carried out with the quality research method and phenomenological design. The study’s participating group consists of 10 teachers and six school managers working in public and private primary schools in Ankara. The research has used a semi-configured conversation form developed by researchers. The study found that teachers’ leadership was associated with concepts such as cooperation with colleagues, decision-making participation, sharing, leadership in change and innovation, being a guide, role model, and that teachers’ leadership also faced various obstacles, such as bureaucratic, managerial attitudes. In this context, it is recommended that teachers support them with the aim of increasing their leadership behaviors, creating a school culture in which they can demonstrate and develop their skills.
