Abstract:

This study aims to explore the relationship between the professional concerns of pre-school teachers candidates with regard to the teaching profession and the beliefs of self-qualification with regard to family participation studies. The sample group of the research is formed by Necmettin Erbakan University pre-school teachers candidates who have been taught in 2018-2019. Relational scan method was used in the research. In the study, the data were collected with the "Self-Capacity Faith Scale" developed by Fire and Kalburan (2016) and the "Self-Capacity Faith Scale" developed by Corklukaya and Yıldırım (2016) and the "Self-Capacity Faith Scale" created by researchers and the Personal Information Form. The findings found that pre-school teacher candidates’ worries about the profession are on the average level of “I don’t participate” and the self-capacity beliefs for family participation studies are on the average level of “I feel enough”. It is also established that there is a meaningful middle-level relationship in the negative direction between the levels of occupational concerns of students and their belief in self-sufficiency regarding family participation activities. In addition, in terms of gender, age and graduated high school variables, these skills do not make significant differences, while the variable in teaching stage has found a significant difference between the level of concern of students about the profession.
